The printing of CD or DVD inserts is not that difficult but it can be expensive. Because we gang up our jobs and we run on a four or five colour press, our print costs are relatively low compared to a four-colour job run on a one-colour press. So be sure to compare our price and your DEAL price to make sure you are actually saving some $$$! (Please note: Add an extra *$50.00 to *$75.00 to cover shipping costs to get your graphics to the plant.) Also, try and print at least 1000 inserts at once, even if your are only making 500 compact discs. It’s cheaper! Oh yes, send ALL 1000 inserts to the plant at one time. If your brother is a printer and he is going to do the job for free... have him read this section. Go through the checklist and call us if he has ANY questions. If you’re going to print your own inserts, we will work with you to get it done right!

*Price may vary depending on quantity of
jackets and location of shipping destination.

Printer’s Checklist: Paper Weight
In most cases, a four-page (two-panel) insert is printed on 100lb. gloss coated stock. If you are printing more than two panels (a three-panel, four-panel, or eight-page booklet) call us for the exact paper weight.

Finishing
• Make sure that all printed inserts are folded correctly. If you are not sure, call us at 1-800-557-3723.
• If you plan to do a mini poster, make sure the front cover is in the correct position.
• All printed CD inserts must fit in the jewel case with the folded edge first.
• All tray cards MUST have their spines perforated.
(SCORING WILL NOT DO!) If you are not sure, please call us.
• All CD inserts and tray cards must be the exact size. See the exact specifications in this Guide, or download them from our website: www.rdrmusic.com.
• All cassette inserts MUST be scored and folded, especially if they are more than one panel.

Take Note:
Failure to comply with any of the above will result in extra charges to you. Please make sure you read and heed our checklist BEFORE you print!

If you print your own CD or DVD inserts, the cost of shipping to the plant is not the responsibility of RDR Music Group. Prices vary depending on quantity and shipping destination.
